A Happy Substitute to Curd rice πŸ™‚

Ingredients:

1 cup Semiya/Vermicili
1/2 cup Yogurt
1/4 cup milk (optional)
3/4Β  cup water
1/2Β  tsp Mustard seeds
pinch Hing
1 tsp Urad dal split
Some cashews n raisins
Grapes Seedless (optional)
Curry leaves
Salt to taste
Cilantro for garnishing
1 tsp oil
1 tsp ghee

Method:

1. Coat the Semiya with few drops of oil and add water and microwave for just 3 mins.

2. Let it cool for a while.

3. Now add the curd and salt and mix it slowly so that u don mash the semiya.

4. If it is very thick, dilute it with some milk.

5. Prepare the seasoning – in a pan with oil add the mustard seeds and once they splutter add the urad dal, curry leaves,hing and once the urad dal turns light brown add it to the semiya.

6. With very little ghee fry the cashews and the raisins and add them to the semiya.

7.Β  Add some Seedless grapes/pomegranate pearls and then garnish it with some cilantro leaves.

8. Refrigerate for some time and serve it cold with some pickle.

*Please don over cook the Semiya.

* Without microwave, jus boil the semiya with water until they turn transparent and drain the the water before adding curd.

* If ur curd is very sour add more milk to reduce theΒ  sourness.

This is really a happy substitute to curd rice. Ppl who love curd rice will love this too πŸ™‚

Grape Lassi

Black Grape Lassi!!

Normal is Boring!! A variation to the regular Lassi:)

Ingredients:

10-15 Balck/Red Grapes(cleaned)

2 cups Curd

1 pinch Salt

3 tspΒ  Sugar

Method:

1. Grind all the ingredients together in a mixie.

2. Alter sweetness according to ur taste and serve it cold.

*Don’t use very sour grapes and curd.

I happened to discover this wonderful recipe by accident πŸ˜‰

We were jus bored of the regular sweet lassi and i jus tried adding some grapes to them.

Trust me! They tasted really wow!

Normal is very boring after tasting this. Try this wonderful variation. You ll love it πŸ™‚
