* Semi dry batter means that avoid adding more water than needed to bond the ingredients together.

* Garlic is jus optional. But it does give a nice flavour.

* You can also add cashews to make ur pakodas rich.

*Store them in a tight container and they ll be nice n crispy for 3-4 days 🙂

The best quick yumm snack u can think of 🙂

I love them for tea time. But they r yumm all the time 😉

1/2 cup Maida/All purpose flour

2 Green chillies chopped

1 Big Onion chopped

Curry leaves

2 tbsp Jeera/Cumin seeds

2 tbsp  Balck Pepper

Some broken cashews

Method:

1. Soak rava, rice flour and maida in water for around 2hrs.

2. Just before preparing dosas add the other ingredients such as chopped onions, green chillies, pepper,  jeera, curry leaves, salt and cashew to the soaked mixture.

3. Dilute the batter to a watery consistence but make sure that the batter is not transparent.

4. Now pour the batter or rather sprinkle the batter onto a hot dosa tava and pour enough oil for it to roast.

5. Once the dosa turns brown and crispy on the lower side ,flip to the other side.

6. Take it off the tava and pour the batter for the next dosai.

TitBits 🙂

*More the time you soak the rava, rice flour and maida ,the more yummmy dosas u make  🙂

* Variate the quantity you want using the basic proportion rava:rice flour:maida :: 1 : 1 : 1

* Just omit the onions to make plain rava dosas.

* Don’t carry forward the batter for more than a day. They will not taste fresh.

Thanks a ton!

Enjoy the crispy onion rava dosai with the authentic mulaga podi and coconut chuttney. 🙂
